Competition is the most important part of DECA. At their simplest level, participating in competitions shows Colleges your involvement within the club and may boost your resume. In a deeper sense, students can expect to learn real-world skills through application and memorization through the 50+ events DECA offers. Event categories include Business Management and Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism, Marketing, and Personal Financial Literacy. Events become even more personalized and are characterized by 3 categories: Role-Plays + Case Studies, Prepared Events, and Online Simulations.
